Crack open a walnut or Brazil nut. According to Good Housekeeping, the natural oil can help remove the scratches from your wood table.
Rub the exposed nut against the scratch on the wood table. Be sure to rub in the same direction as the grain of the wood to cover the scratch more effectively.
Use a soft cloth to polish the wood and check to see if you can still see any trace of the scratches.
Rub the scratched area of your wood table with 00-gauge steel wool if the nut did not remove the scratch. This will remove the scratch but will also remove some of the finish.
Fill in the area of your wood table where you removed the finish using a finish pen. Be sure the color of the pen matches your wood exactly.
