Fill a 5-gallon bucket with 1 gallon of cool water. Add ¼ tsp. of a mild liquid dish soap. If mold or mildew is present, add 1 cup of white vinegar. The vinegar can also be added to remove musty odors from your teak wood.
Lay a plastic tarp out flat in your yard on a warm, sunny day. Place the teak wood on top of the plastic tarp.
Submerge a sponge in the mixture. Scrub the teak wood with the sponge. Begin at the bottom of the teak wood and work your way up. Continue scrubbing until you have thoroughly cleaned the teak wood.
Rinse the solution off the teak wood with a water hose. Begin at the bottom and move the water in a steady back-and-forth motion.
Wipe the teak wood dry with a towel.
