Wrap the table sides and legs in plastic bubble wrap. Secure the bubble wrap with masking tape. Do not use duct tape or packaging tape. These tapes will strip the finish off of your wooden table. If you have an unpainted plastic or metal table, feel free to use duct tape or clear packaging tape, but if the surface of your table is painted, wooden, marble, or ceramic, do not use anything but masking tape. The bubble wrap will protect the sides of your table and the legs from knocking or dinging walls as well as prevent the table from making marks in floors.Wrap the legs and sides of each chair with plastic bubble wrap.
Maneuver them through doorways if you are moving or switching rooms. You may have to take the legs off of the table. Sometimes the chairs can be disassembled as well.
Place furniture sliders on the bottoms of the table legs and chair legs. This will enable you to gently slide the table and chairs to a different side of the room in order to rearrange your dining and kitchen area.
Move the table and chairs one at a time to a towel or area rug and then slide the area rug across the floor to help you rearrange the dining or kitchen area.
