Remove mildew from antique wood furniture by wiping it with a cloth dampened in a mixture of 1 cup of water, 1 tbsp. of bleach and 1 tbsp. of liquid dish soap. Rinse the mixture off the wooden furniture with a clean, damp cloth. Wipe the furniture dry with a towel.

Add a small amount of solvent-based cleaning wax to a lint-free cloth. Wipe the wood furniture clean with the dampened lint-free cloth. Wipe the solvent off the furniture immediately with a clean, dry cloth.

    • 4

Apply carnauba paste wax to a clean, soft cloth. Rub the wax -- in the direction of the wood's grain -- into the furniture.

    • 5

Buff the wax with a clean, lint-free cloth for several minutes. Turn the cloth over several times during the process. Continue buffing until all the wax is hard.
