How to Remove Krazy Glue From a Table Finish

Krazy Glue is a helpful tool for household repairs, including repairing a broken knickknack or fixing a broken acrylic fingernail. Unfortunately, Krazy Glue can drip onto other surfaces, including a finished table, and will bond very quickly to the tabletop, leaving behind an imperfection. Krazy Glue can be removed without permanently damaging the table top with products that are readily available at drugstores.

Instructions

    • 1

Allow the glue to dry completely. The amount of time required for the glue to dry will depend upon how much you dropped onto the surface.

    • 2

Soak a cotton swab with acetone nail polish remover. Read the label to ensure that the polish remover contains acetone, or it will not be effective.

    • 3

Rub the affected area with the acetone-soaked cotton swab. Allow the acetone to sit for five to 10 seconds.

    • 4

Rub the affected area with very fine sandpaper, such as 400 grit. Continue to rub until the Krazy Glue is removed. Avoid vigorously rubbing the area with the sandpaper as this could damage the table's finish.
