Vacuum the furniture thoroughly using a high-powered vacuum. This will remove hair and any other debris. Use the upholstery attachments and get into all the crevices. Take the cushions off couches and chairs then vacuum the cushions and underneath them. Press down on the seat of the couch and press the vacuum nozzle into the cracks because debris collects there.
Spray a soil emulsifier on the furniture. Follow the product's instructions. This will loosen any ground in dirt and allow the steam cleaner to remove it.
Fill your steam cleaner with hot water and use the machine to steam clean the furniture by moving it over the surface like a vacuum. When you push the machine away, release water over the furniture. When you move it back, the machine will suck the water back up. Move slowly and be thorough.
Allow the furniture to air dry. You may want to leave it overnight. If it is a small piece of furniture, you can use a hair dryer on a cool setting to speed up the drying.
Brush the microfiber with a soft brush to soften it. The brush bristles should be as soft as a toothbrush. Try a soft hairbrush if you can't find any other suitable brush.
