Instructions

  1. Dry Sponge

    • 1

Wipe the upholstered furniture with a dry sponge. Start at the top of the furniture and move the dry sponge in a sweeping motion across the fabric.

    • 2

Continue sweeping the upholstery with the dry sponge while moving downward.

    • 3

Clean the dry sponge with warm, soapy water and rinse under cool running water. Wring the sponge out and let air dry. Clean the sponge after each use.

    Damp Cloth

    • 4

Dampen a clean cloth with cool water. Wring the cloth out to remove as much excess water as possible. The cloth must be damp -- not dripping wet.

    • 5

Wipe the upholstered furniture with the cloth. Start at the top and sweep the cloth over the fabric while working your way down.

    • 6

Continue until you have removed the dog hair. Repeat the process as needed.

    Other Methods

    • 7

Wear a pair of rubber gloves. Wipe the upholstered furniture with your gloved hand.

    • 8

Fill a spray bottle with 3 parts water and 1 part fabric softener. Mist the fabric with the mixture and let sit for 2 to 3 hours. Secure the upholstery attachment to your vacuum and vacuum the fur off the upholstery.

    • 9

Sweep the upholstered furniture with a fabric softener sheet. Begin at the top of the furniture and wipe while working downward.

    • 10

Roll a sticker roller over the upholstery.
