How to Remove Ellagic Acid on Leather

Ellagic acid is a plant chemical found in red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and cranberries. Plants produce this chemical to protect themselves from viruses and bacteria, and scientists have begun researching it for its potentially beneficial properties for humans. If you spill fruit or juice containing ellagic acid on a leather couch or chair, act quickly to clean the stain to ensure it doesn't become a permanent feature on your leather upholstery.
