How to Clean a Leather Couch Without Leather Cleaner

Keeping your leather couch in good condition doesn't require purchasing expensive cleaners, but it does require careful cleaning to maintain the material's supple texture. According to "The Complete Household Handbook," leather couches require a balance of not too wet and not too dry conditions to prevent mildew growth and cracking, respectively. While rubbing alcohol is harsh on many fabrics, leather is durable and can withstand cleaning with rubbing alcohol without overdrying the surface.
