How to Wash Chair Pads

Through use and exposure to the the environment, chair pads can accumulate dirt, grime and mold. When this happens, you need not spend for dry cleaning or other processes that perhaps do not clean the pads to your satisfaction. You can easily wash a chair pad at home with household products and ensure the result you desire. Periodically doing so will prevent the buildup of dirt, grime and mold and keep your chair pads looking like new.

Things You'll Need

• Bucket
• Bleach
• Mild detergent
• Water
• Washcloth or nylon brush

     Mix one part bleach with three parts water in a bucket, then add one capful of mild laundry detergent.

     Dampen a washcloth or nylon brush in the cleaning solution in the bucket.

     Scrub the chair pad thoroughly using the washcloth or nylon brush. Make sure to scrub all sides of the chair pad.

     Rinse the chair pad using warm water to remove the cleaning solution.

   • 5

     Set the chair pad in direct sunlight to dry.
