How to: Removal of Liquid Stains on Wood

Wood furniture is sturdy and will fit in with almost any décor. Unfortunately, unwanted liquid spills and drinking glass rings will leave behind unsightly stains that will at the very least ruin the piece's finish. If allowed to remain, the liquid will seep into the porous wood, causing further damage beyond its finish. Baking soda and toothpaste will remove water stains, while a mixture of ammonia and mayonnaise will tackle wine or milk stains.
