Painting is an inexpensive way to remodel a room in a single afternoon. Unfortunately, drips, spills and flying paintbrushes cause stains on uncovered upholstered furniture. Contemporary latex paints are water-based “acrylic latex," meaning they are manufactured from water and a resin made from plastics instead of rubber. Latex paints also dry quickly, making it crucial to clean the drips or spills immediately after they occur to prevent them from setting and causing a permanent stain.
