Pull the clock away from the wall as fluidly as possible. Dust the entire clock, both front and back and in any carved sections.
Remove the weights, pendulum and chains carefully and set them aside. Dust the pieces and use a damp cloth to remove any accumulated grime or buildup.
Apply a good-quality wax to a clean, soft cloth and gently work it into all the wood surfaces, both inside and outside of the clock.
Spray ammonia-free cleaner onto a cloth and gently wipe the glass sections. Pay particular attention to the corners where dust buildup might occur.
Lightly dust the clock face and arms, but touch this section as little as possible.
Return the clock to its original position, replace the pendulum, weights and chains and reset the time.
