Using Rubber Shelf Liner to Keep Sofa Cushions From Slipping

If your sofa cushions slip forward when you're sitting on them for extended periods, you know how inconvenient it is to constantly have to adjust them back to the right spot. This can especially be a problem with vinyl or leather sofas. There's a simple trick to solve this problem. Rubber shelf liners, commonly used in kitchen cabinets, can be employed to keep those cushions in place.

  • Tape measure
  • Rubber shelf liner
  • Scissors

Instructions

      Measure the width of the seating area of your couch, from the inside of one arm to the inside of the other.

      Cut a length of rubber shelf liner to match the measurement from the previous step.

      Remove the cushions from your sofa. Lay the rubber matting down on the sofa's flat surface. Replace the cushions.
