Removing Stickers Off of Painted Furniture

Many children love to play with stickers and they proudly choose to display their collection in strange or inappropriate places, like your table or chairs. Some stickers peel off the furniture easily, while others leave behind shreds of paper and sticky residue when you try to remove them. If stickers mar the beauty of your painted furniture, get rid of them with a few sprays of window cleaner and clean, cool water.

Instructions

    • 1

Scrape away the sticker as gently and slowly as possible. Use your fingernails or the edge of a credit card to do this. Do not try to pull the sticker off the furniture quickly.

    • 2

Spray the sticky residue with window cleaner. Let the cleaner sit for several seconds.

    • 3

Wet a clean cloth or towel. Wipe the towel across the sticker to remove the paper and sticky particles.

    • 4

Rinse the spot with clean water. Dry the furniture with a clean, soft towel.
