How to Clean a Microsuede Couch That Got Wet

Microsuede furniture has the luxurious look of suede with the easy-to-clean surface of synthetic fibers. The tightly woven material that makes up microsuede is resistant to dirt, stains and mildew. Still, you may occasionally get a stain on your microsuede couch. Water sometimes creates a spot or ring on this type of upholstery, although a simple cleaning process can remove the mark.

Instructions

    • 1

Wet a clean, white cloth. Wring out the cloth to get rid of extra moisture.

    • 2

Wipe the water stain with the wet cloth. Dampen the entire water stain.

    • 3

Place a folded white cloth or towel over the damp area.

    • 4

Place a heavy book or similar object on top of the cloth or towel to weigh it down.

    • 5

Wait 30 to 45 minutes as the cloth absorbs the moisture.

    • 6

Remove the weighted item and the cloth to check the area. The stain probably has disappeared. If not, repeat the process of moistening the area and blotting the fabric dry again.
