How to Get Food Coloring Out of the Furniture

Food coloring may enhance the appearance of what you eat, but it can mar where you sit. Food coloring can leave a stain if it sets into your furniture's fabric. The method for removing a food coloring stain depends on the manufacturer's care recommendations for your furniture. Some furniture upholstery may be labeled as professional cleaning only. White vinegar and dishwashing liquid are effective stain removers if the furniture can be exposed to cleaning products, as the vinegar eliminates the food coloring without damaging the furniture.
