How to Clean an Acid-Treated Copper Table Top

Copper furnishings come with two types of finishes, each with different care requirements. Lacquer-finished copper has a dull look that only needs an occasional wipe down with a damp cloth. Acid-treated copper, such as on tabletops, needs a good cleaning to keep the copper bright and shiny. There are chemical treatments available for cleaning tabletops, but with the right household products, you can achieve a bright polish in just minutes. Care for your acid-treated table top regularly to prolong its beauty.
