Instructions

    • 1

Remove dust, dirt and crumbs from the fabric with the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. If you have any stained areas where a substance has hardened, scrape it away gently with a plastic knife and vacuum up the debris.

    • 2

Make a lukewarm, soapy solution with 1 cup of water and 2 Tbsp. of a mild, liquid laundry soap.

    • 3

Untie the cushion from the chair before wiping down the fabric with the soapy solution on a soft cloth or sponge. Wring out the cloth each time you dampen it to avoid oversaturating the fabric. Pay special attention to areas that are soiled; use a soft-bristled brush instead of the cloth to clean those stains.

    • 4

Remove any soapy residue from the fabric with a damp cloth. Use lukewarm water, and wring out the cloth well.

    • 5

Allow the fabric to air-dry for 45 minutes to an hour. Position a fan nearby to circulate air over the glider and ottoman for faster drying or set them in a cool, dry place. Do not place the cushion back onto the glider until it is completely dry.

Wipe down the wooden areas of the glider and ottoman with a soft, dry cloth to remove loose dust. Dampen the cloth with furniture polish, and wipe over the wood again.
