Select a high-quality crayon that best matches the color of the leather.
Remove the paper and place the crayon in the top portion of a double boiler. If you don't have a double boiler, place the crayon in a small cooking pot. Then, set the pot in a larger cooking pot filled with water.
Boil the water and melt the crayon. Use a metal spoon to stir the crayon as it melts.
Use a spoon to dab the cracks in the leather with the melted crayon to fill in small voids and seal the edges. The melted crayon should be warm and soft, but not steaming hot or boiling. Otherwise, you risk burning the leather. Do not use or sit on the leather until the crayon hardens.
