Microfiber is a fabric commonly used to cover furniture because of its resistance to soil and stains. Even though microfiber is resistant to dirt, you probably will accumulate a few stains over time if you have a microfiber sofa that is used frequently. Although you can buy microfiber cleaning solutions, you can make your own gentle solution at home. This solution is inexpensive and easy to use. It will remove most stains from microfiber.
Mix 1/4 cup liquid dish soap into 1 quart of warm water.
Prepare the stained area by scraping off any residue with a dull knife and vacuuming the sofa with a hand-held vacuum cleaner or vacuum attachment.
Moisten a rag or sponge with the cleaning solution, and use it to dab the stain. Don't rub the area, merely press down into the fabric.
Blot the cleaning solution dry. If the stain is not gone, repeat these steps.
