Swing the wheels away from the nozzle of the steamer into the operating position. On the side of the tank, pinch the gray and red latch together and lower the tank toward the nozzle to remove it.
Push the tank downwards toward the nozzle and lift out. Once the tank is out, open the gray cap on the top and fill the tank with warm water to the fill line on the side of the tank. Do not use hot water.
Replace the gray cap and put the tank back in its original position. Lift the gray latch and slide the tank in upward until you hear it click into place.
Unscrew the cap from one Steemer Full Release carpet cleaner cartridge and insert it into the docking bay on your carpet steamer. Make sure that the directions on the cleaner cartridge face you, assuring it's in the proper position. Once in place, rotate the white locking lever from left to right to seal the cartridge within the cleaner. Note that no additional carpet shampoo or carpet cleaner is needed with this cleaner.
Plug in the steamer and test/reset the Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI) by pressing "test" and then the red "reset" button on the plug.
Vacuum your carpet thoroughly before steaming the carpet for a deeper clean.
Pre-treat high traffic areas and tough stains with a professional spot and stain remover as necessary.
Pour a small amount of carpet cleaner on a white cloth and blot carpet, looking for color removal. If none presents itself, continue with the wet steam extraction process.
Turn your steamer into the "on" position and wait for the steamer to warm up. This shouldn't take more than three minutes.
Press the gray button on the handle and pull the vacuum backwards. When the gray button is depressed, it releases a mixture of water and carpet cleaner into your carpet, while simultaneously extracting a dirt and water mixture into the tank.
Repeat Step 2, making sure to overlap each area slightly, until the entire carpet has been cleaned thoroughly. Push down on the handle to raise the nozzle from the carpet and move the cleaner into position. The Regina Steemer cleans only when pulled towards you -- don't try to push it.
Go over cleaned areas without pressing the gray button. Continue this process until water is no longer being pulled from the carpet into the nozzle. Try not to oversaturate the carpet while cleaning.
Release the tank by squeezing the red and gray latches together and remove the tank from the steamer. Turn the tank upside down and pour the dirty water into a nearby sink or drain.
