  When you are through cleaning the carpets, unplug the machine by grasping the plug and pulling it out. Do not pull on the cord to unplug the machine or you will damage it.

  Empty the cleaning solution reservoir of any remaining solution that may be in it. Rinse the reservoir with fresh hot water and allow it to air dry completely before you put it back on the machine.

  Empty the fresh water tank and allow it to dry before returning it to the machine. Empty the recovery tank and clean it with fresh hot water. Allow it to dry thoroughly.

  Lay the SteamVac on its side and clean the brushes. Rinse any remaining dirt and debris on the bottom of the machine. Remove any carpet fibers that may be wrapped around the cleaning brush.

  Wrap the cord around the machine using the cord stays. Store the machine until the next use.
