Bissell Cordless Spot Lifter Instructions

The Bissell Cordless Spot Lifter is designed to clean specific stained areas of carpet or upholstery. It is easy to carry and maneuver since there is no power cord. Sold in many appliance, home retail and department stores as well as online, the Spot Lifter comes with a limited warranty and may be particularly useful in homes with pets or small children. Using the Spot Lifter is generally straightforward but should not be performed by children due to the use of chemicals.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the power cord to the base of the Spot Lifter and plug into a power outlet. Allow the unit to charge for at least 24 hours.

    • 2

Unplug the Spot Lifter when the indicator light turns green. Grasp the "Solution Tank" on each side in the indentations and pull up to remove.

    • 3

Unscrew the lid in a counterclockwise direction and pour Bissell-brand cleaning formula to the "Formula Fill" line on the tank. Fill the tank with warm water to the "Water Fill" line on the tank. Close the cap in a clockwise direction.

    • 4

Push the power switch to "On." Press the trigger on the handle to dispense the cleaning solution onto a stain. Wait 3 to 5 minutes to allow the cleaner to settle into the stain.

    • 5

Place the front end of the Spot Lifter on the far edge of the stain and set the device down on the stain. Press down slightly on the Spot Lifter and pull it back over the stain in a firm and even motion.

    • 6

Repeat until the stain has been removed. For stubborn stains, use a soft brush to rub the cleaning solution further into the carpet.

    • 7

Turn off the Spot Lifter and remove the tank. Empty it into a sink or drain and rinse well. Set the tank aside to dry and replace on the unit.
