Remove the kneading blade, bread pan and other detachable parts from your bread machine and clean separately. If the parts have any bread burnt onto them, allow them to soak in warm, soapy water until the residue is easily removed. Do not use any type of abrasive cleaner on your bread machine parts as these cleaners can scratch or damage the parts. Do not put parts in the dishwasher unless your user manual specifically recommends doing so. It is best to wash the parts by hand.

Unplug the bread machine unit before cleaning the interior and exterior. Do not clean the bread machine while it is hot--give it ample time to cool after use. Use a soft cloth or a sponge with soap to clean your machine. Do not use scouring pads or other abrasive cloths, or abrasive cleaners, as they can scratch the bread machine's non-stick surface. Never immerse your bread machine in water and do not use a dishwasher to clean your bread machine.

Wipe the outside of the machine gently to remove crumbs and stains from the exterior. Remove any residual dough or burnt bread from the inside of the machine with a soft rag or rubber spatula. Do not pour water directly into the machine. Be careful not to bend or break the heating elements inside as this will ruin your machine. Do not clean the bread pan while it is in the machine--always remove it first.

Dry the inside and outside of the machine gently with a soft towel. Dry the bread pan and the kneading blade before returning them to the inside of the machine. After the machine is dried and reassembled, close the lid to keep dust and dirt from getting into the machine. Secure the electrical cord so it does not get pulled loose or damaged. Store the bread machine in a safe area where it will be safe from scratches from pots and pans. Do not store heavy objects on top of the bread machine.
