Instructions for Removing a Inland Spa Filter

A hot tub is a wonderful way to relax as well as get clean, but it needs regular maintenance such as removing the filter. When a water filter is doing its job properly, it will eventually become dirty and clogged, reducing flow, which could lead to overheating. To avoid dirty water and possible risk of illness, it is imperative to remove the filter in your Inland hot tub regularly for cleaning.

      Remove the cover of the filter compartment to reveal two filter cartridges. If any debris is floating within the filter compartment, remove it and dispose of it.

      Twist the handle on the top of each filter cartridge counterclockwise until it is possible to remove the filter cartridges from the standpipe. Replace the filter compartment cover to keep anything from falling in. Do not operate the spa without filters.

      Soak the filters in degreaser according to the manufacturer's instructions and rinse with fresh water.

      Return the filters to the standpipe twisting clockwise until they are securely in place. Alternate the placement of the filters after each cleaning to extend service life.

      Replace the filter compartment cover.
