Connect the charger plug to the base of the cordless sweeper and plug into a working power outlet. Ensure the power switch on the cordless sweeper is in the "Off" position.
Wait for the indicator light to turn off to show that the sweeper is ready for use. Disconnect from the power cord.
Press the power switch to "On" and move the sweeper in a back-and-forth motion over the cleaning area. Press down on the pedal with a foot to lower the handle during cleaning.
Change the brush roll speed by pressing the "Speed Control" button. One light indicates that the unit is set for hard floors, while two lights indicate the unit is set for carpets.
Push the "Handle Release" button and push forward to bend the handle in order to reach under furniture and other hard-to-reach areas.
Turn off the carpet sweeper after cleaning is complete. Step on the "Dust Cup Release Lever" with your foot and lift out the dust cup. Hold the cup over a waste bin and press down on the "Empty" button.
Check the brush on the bottom of the sweeper and remove any caught strings with a pair of scissors.
Reconnect the sweeper to the charger to recharge the battery prior to the next use.
