How to Clean a Blue Star Range Top

Blue Star range tops have a gas stove on top of the oven or come in a simple drop-in stovetop variety that places the range in your kitchen without the oven. These stove tops are stainless steel with chrome or porcelain details on parts of them in some cases. Cleaning the Blue Star range regularly keeps it looking good and prevents it from rusting.

Instructions

    • 1

Wet a cloth and add a drop or two of dish soap. Run the cloth under hot running water to create suds.

    • 2

Wipe down the body of the Blue Star range top with the cloth. Scrub any stuck-on food or stains to remove them. Rinse the cloth off with hot water and wipe down the stove again to remove any soap residue.

    • 3

Lift the burners off the stove. Pull all the drip pans on the stove toward you slowly to remove them. Fill the sink with hot water and add 3 tbsp. dish soap. Place the burners and drip pans into the water and scrub them to remove any food or grime. Rinse them with hot water and dry them with a towel. Replace the drip pans and burners on the stove.
