How to Troubleshoot a Hoover Spin Scrub H3060

The Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub H3060 is a household cleaning appliance that vacuums, washes and dries hard floors. This upright floor cleaner features Hoover's exclusive cleaning formula and SpinScrub brushes that wash and scrub floors from multiple angles. It also has a built-in squeegee that quickly dries your floors. The Hoover SpinScrub will require maintenance or repair every now and then, as with any large household cleaning appliance. However, you can save yourself time and money by troubleshooting the SpinScrub yourself. Try these troubleshooting tips for your Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub H3060.

      Make sure that the SpinScrub is firmly plugged into a grounded electrical socket if the machine will not run. Do not force the plug into the socket if you have a two-pole receptacle. Instead, purchase a temporary adapter to properly connect the plug to the electrical socket.

      Use only Hoover brand cleaning solutions with this appliance to prevent foaming. Empty the dirty water tank and place it back into the unit, pushing firmly on the tank until you hear it click into place. Doing this will help prevent puddling behind the unit.

      Make sure the Mode selector dial is directly in front of the "Dry Vac" setting if your SpinScrub is leaving a line of dry dirt on the floor. Tip the front of the unit back, lifting the nozzle up so that it can pick up large particles that will not fit in the squeegee.

      Refill the solution tank and make sure it is securely locked into position if you can not dispense the cleaning solution. If the SpinScrub tool is not dispensing the cleaning formula, prime the pump to remove air from the cleaning system following the manufacturer's instructions.

      Make sure the Mode selector dial is directly in front of the "Wet Pickup" setting if the SpinScrub will not suck up the dirty water. Empty the recovery tank and check that the filter and filter lid is correctly installed. Place the recovery tank back into the unit and press firmly to lock it into place.

      Empty the recovery tank if the SpinScrub suction is insufficient, the auto shut-off may have been activated. Make sure the filter and lid is clean and in the correct position. Place the tanks and the nozzle into the unit and firmly snap them into position. Make sure the hose door is tightly closed when you are not using it. Any of these issues could cause the SpinScrub to have experience suctioning problems.

      Clean the scrub brushes if they are not rotating. Turn the unit over and remove any trapped debris, such as yarn, cotton and string that can become wrapped around the brush. Return the cleaner to an upright position and turn the Mode dial to the "Wash" setting to get the brushes to rotate. If they are still not rotating, turn the SpinScrub "Off" and unplug the unit. Wait one minute, plug the power cord back in and turn the unit "On" to prompt the brushes to start rotating.
