How to Put a Bissel Steam Machine Together

The Bissell steam cleaner, also known as the Power Steamer, is a deep carpet cleaner that uses steam and carpet cleaning solution to provide a thorough clean for carpets and other surfaces. The steam cleaner has a 6.25-amp motor, rotating brush system, 15-inch cleaning path width, 25-foot-long cord, 1-gallon tank capacity, stain tools and a filter system. Putting the steam cleaner together after purchase is relatively simple to do, but should only be done by an adult to reduce the risk of injury.

  Push the upper handle of the Bissell steam cleaner into the lower handle until it clicks.

  Hold the still-bundled power cord and push it through the tool caddy from the flat side. Line up the holes on the upper handle and the holes on the tool caddy.

  Insert the hex nut on the back of the tool caddy and hold it in place while inserting the bolt from front to back. Screw the bolt into the hex nut until firmly connected. Connect the second bolt and hex nut in the same manner.

  Place the two screws into the lower holes and turn them clockwise until tight.

  Set the tools in the tool caddy and push to snap them into place. Wrap the hose and the power cord around the hooks on the back of the unit.
