Lift up the Roomba if there is 1 beep, which means the robot is stuck. Set the robot in a new location and press "Start" to resume cleaning.
Pick up the Roomba and turn it over if there are 2 beeps. Check the brushes and remove any long strings or other items that may be preventing brush rotation.
Pick up the Roomba and turn it over if there are 5 or 7 beeps. Check the wheels, including the side wheels, for debris or hair that may be preventing proper movement. Clean the wheels, and push them in and release to ensure the wheels can move normally.
Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the sensors on the underside of the Roomba if there are 6 beeps, which mean that the sensors are dirty and the robot may fall as a result.
Check the front wheel if there are 8 beeps. Clean the wheel and set the Roomba down in a new location. Press "Start" to begin cleaning.
Pick up the Roomba and tap the front bumper 10 to 20 times rapidly to remove any dirt or debris that may be caught under it if there are 9 beeps.
Clean the wheels if there are 10 beeps or the robot is not sensing obstacles. Clean the sensors.
Contact iRobot for assistance for any other number of beeps or if the problem persists.
