How to Clean the Liquid in a Hoover Steam Vac

A Hoover Steam Vac is an affordable upright vacuum capable of both sucking up debris and steam cleaning carpets. The dual tank design makes it easy to effectively steam clean any carpet. One tank holds the carpet cleaning solution and the other collects the dirty water that is drawn back into the machine. Luckily, cleaning the dirty liquid sucked up by the Hoover Steam Vacuum is very simple and takes only a few minutes' time.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the Hoover Steam Vac off and unplug the cord from the electrical outlet. Press down on the upper, clean solution tank handle and pull it forward. Set the clean solution tank aside.

    • 2

Step on the handle release pedal and slowly lower the vacuum handle to the floor. Rotate the dirty solution tank latches outward, away from the vacuum on both sides of the machine. Lift the tank away from the vacuum and take it to the sink.

Press on the handle latch and lift the vacuum handle until your hear a click. Replace the clean solution tank.
