Instructions for the SteamVac Spinscrub

Locate the clean solution tank on the front of deep cleaner. Remove the tank by pressing down on the handle and then pull the tank towards you for removal.

Turn the tank cap counterclockwise until it is loose enough to be removed.

Turn the cap upside down and fill it with five ounces of Hoover cleaning detergent. There is a line inside the cup that indicates the five ounce mark. Hoover detergent can be purchased wherever Hoover vacuums are sold. Use carpet/upholstery detergent for surfaces covered in fabric.

Pour detergent into tank. Fill tank with one gallon of hot tap water. There is an indicator line on the tank showing the one gallon mark. Replace the cap on top of the tank and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.

Replace the tank on the vacuum, pressing on it until it snaps into place.

Plug power cord into a working electrical outlet and press the pedal on the bottom left side of vacuum to start the deep cleaner.

Step on the foot pedal on the right side of the deep cleaner to adjust the angle of the handle for easy maneuvering.

Squeeze the trigger on the top of the handle to release cleaning solution. Do this while slowly pushing the SteamVac forward once then pulling it back toward you. This is considered to be two wet strokes.

Release the trigger and then push the SteamVac over the same area you just covered with cleaning solution. This picks up the detergent and dirt on the surface. Continue going over the area until the green "Max Extract" light comes on on the bottom of the vacuum.

Repeat the procedure until the entire area is cleaned. Do not walk on the cleaned surface until it is dry, which may take a couple of hours. You can speed up the drying process by opening windows prior to cleaning.
