Steam cleaning is a method of cleaning that can be used to clean hard surfaces throughout the home without the use of chemicals or other cleaning products. Hot water is heated to a temperature high enough to create steam and then dispensed onto the surface and cleaned with a sponge or a cloth. Dry steam from a normal steam cleaner can kill most household bacteria and removes dirt and debris from most surfaces. Steam cleaning can also be used to remove pet dander from homes with pets.
