Instructions

    • 1

Check if the power cord has become unplugged if the vacuum cleaner is not working. Plug the cord firmly into a working power outlet and reset or replace the circuit breaker or fuse if necessary. Turn the power switch to "On" before use.

    • 2

Push down on the release and open the dirt bag compartment if the vacuum is not suctioning up items as expected. Replace the dirt bag. Adjust the "Pile Height Setting" on the base of the unit to the correct carpet or floor setting. Check the hose and nozzles for items that may be blocking the suction and clear as necessary.

    • 3

Step on the base foot pedal and lower the handle if the vacuum has power but is not running. The handle must be lowered for the agitator to work. Check the hose and connect it firmly to the nozzle. If the motor has overheated, allow 20 minutes for the vacuum cleaner to cool before restoring power. Check the vacuum for blockages that may have caused the motor to overheat and the thermal protector to trip.

    • 4

Remove the dirt bag and pull the filters out of the housing underneath and behind the dirt bag if the indicator light is red. Pull the motor filter out and up from the ribs under the dirt bag cavity. The exhaust filter has a cover that slides down to remove the filter. Tap both filters over a waste container to clean. Do not wash the filters.

    • 5

Unplug and turn off the vacuum if the brush roll has limited movement. Use scissors to cut away strings or fiber that may be caught around the agitator.

    • 6

Clean the optic sensors if the red or green indicator lights are illuminated. Locate the optic sensor behind the dirt bag in the dirt bag compartment. Wipe the sensors with a clean, dry cloth.
