Bissell Bagless Vacuum Cleaner Instructions

The Bissell bagless vacuum cleaner is an upright model that uses a dirt container and air filters to remove dirt from floors. A user can operate the vacuum on any dry floor type, including hard wood and plush carpeting due to the adjustable height settings. The vacuum comes with hose attachments so you can also clean above the floor. Using the vacuum properly includes regular emptying of the dirt canister.

      Walk to the front of the vacuum and locate the height adjustment knob. Turn the knob to the appropriate setting for your floors. The lowest setting is for tile or wood floors. The medium setting is for regular carpet and the high setting is for carpet's with high or plush pile.

      Hold the handle in your hand. Push the Handle Release Pedal one time with your foot. It is on the bottom of the vacuum at the back of the vacuum head. The handle will recline so you can effectively push the vacuum.

      Press the dirt container to make sure it is locked in place. Turn the top power cord wrap so it faces the floor, then push the power cord off the wraps. Plug the vacuum in and press the power button to start the suction.

      Vacuum your carpet in even strokes. Check under tables and chairs for objects before vacuuming under them. Push the handle into its upright and locked position, then pull the vacuum back on its two wheels to easily push it into the next room.

      Lift the hose wand and attach any necessary attachments to the end of the vacuum hose. The attachments allow you to vacuum in crevices, between furniture or along the ceiling.

      Press the power button to turn off the vacuum. Return the top cord wrap to its upright position and wrap the power cord in place.

      Unlock the dirt container by switching the lever to "Unlock." Pull it out of the housing. Dump the contents into the garbage, then push the container back into place on the housing. Switch the lever to "Lock."
