How to Clean a Dyson DC25 Filter

The Dyson DC25 is a powerful, yet lightweight upright vacuum that features the Dyson Ball technology for effortless steering on all floors. As with all Dyson products, the DC25 has a reusable filtration system with washable HEPA filters. These filters separate small particles from the air that could interfere with your vacuum's performance, and should be washed every three to six months. Washing these filters on a regular basis is simple to do and will allow the Dyson DC25 to perform at its best.

Instructions

    • 1

Unplug the vacuum from the wall.

    • 2

Press the cyclone release button on top of the cyclone handle. Grasp the handle and pull the bin assembly out of the unit.

    • 3

Pull the filter release tab below the handle and lift the filter cover. Remove filter "A".

    • 4

Press the release button on the Dyson ball, located at the bottom of the vacuum. Lift the filter cover on the ball and remove filter "B".

    • 5

Wash both filters using cold water only; do not use any detergents. Turn the ball filter over and firmly tap the side of it against the sink. Do this occasionally to remove any motor emissions from inside the filter. Wash both filters thoroughly until the water runs clear.

    • 6

Allow both filters to air dry for 24 hours and reinstall them when they are completely dry.
