Power and Filtration

• The Bissell 5770 features a 12-amp power rating. Delivered to the machine via the 35-foot manually wound power cord, the 12 amps power a 15-inch rotating brush beneath the vacuum head. This brush sweeps any dust or debris into the vacuum. Small dust particles are separated by the "Airetight" HEPA and pre-motor foam filters. Bissell recommends replacing the "Airetight" HEPA filter cartridge every six months. The pre-motor foam filter should be checked and washed if necessary once per month.

Dirt Collection

• The Bissell 5770 may be used on carpet, bare floors and upholstery. Other permitted surfaces include auto, stairs and low pile carpet. Seven brush height settings customize the vacuum for use on each of these surfaces. All dirt and debris collect inside a bagless container. The container must be emptied, manually, once dirt levels reach the "Full" line.

Tools

• Each Bissell 5770 includes three tools. A smaller version of the 15-inch brush beneath the vacuum head, the TurboBrush tool is ideal for use on stairs and upholstery. The long, narrow crevice tool improves cleaning access to tight areas. The combination brush includes two sets of bristles for either dusting or hard scrubbing. For increased reach, use any of these tools in conjunction with the included telescoping extension wand.

Microban Protection

• Growth of bacteria, mold and mildew can cause unpleasant odor to develop from inside your vacuum. Built in to the machine during its manufacture, "Microban Antimicrobial Product Protection" combats growth of these organisms. Bissell promises a cleaner and fresher machine as a result. This antimicrobial protection does not wash or wear away over time.
