How to Clean Your Dishwasher With Ascorbic Acid

Ascorbic acid, a mild organic acid derived from glucose, is a form of vitamin C and commonly found in powdered citrus drinks or in powder form at drugstores. The acidic properties of ascorbic acid make it an ideal cleaner for mineral deposits in a dishwasher. It dissolves detergent buildup and hard-water mineral deposits to restore the appearance and performance of your dishwasher. Use ascorbic acid in one of two forms.
