In 1910, Merritt Pond founded the Advance Machine Shop, which originally repaired equipment found in grain mills and expanded into manufacturing floor polishing equipment in 1928.     • Advance produces floor cleaning equipment like carpet extractors, vacuums and combination floor sweepers and floor scrubbers. Advance also makes floor buffing machines and floor burnishers.

    Cleaning Performance

    • Advance floor scrubbers clean between 13,000 and 100,000 square feet of flooring each hour. Advance sweeper models clean flooring in 26- to 78-inch-wide sections. Advance floor machines and burnishers feature polishing pads ranging from 13 to 24 inches wide, and propane-powered burnishers polish up to 33,000 square feet of flooring over the course of an hour.

    Considerations

    • Advance manufactures commercial vacuum, sweeper, scrubber and carpet extractor models that allow operators to sit and direct equipment with the help of a steering wheel. The company offers a floor cleaning equipment leasing program for commercial and industrial clients who don't want to invest in buying equipment.
