Wipe the smooth top with antibacterial dish soap and warm water. Cleaning the stove top will remove any dirt and debris that may get in the way while you remove the melted plastic.
Gently scrape off the burned plastic with a razor blade. Hold the blade at a 30- to 45-degree angle. Work the blade under the hardened plastic carefully to prevent scratching the glass. Apply slight pressure to the razor blade to scrape off the plastic.
Wipe the plastic residue off the stove top with a damp washcloth.
Clean the stove top with a glass stove top cleaner.
