Lift the clean water tank up and away from the unit.
Turn the tank over and unscrew the cap.
Fill the tank with Bissell cleaning agent of choice, using the cleaner fill lines on the left side of the tank. Fill the rest of the tank with warm water. Use the Bissell 2X compact formula for removing dirt, debris, pet and oily stains. Use Bissell 2X compact formula and Oxy GEN2 formula for coffee, wine, cola and fruit juice stains.
Replace the black cap and securely tighten it. Reattach the filled tank to the main unit.
Vacuum the stained area first to remove any loose debris and dirt.
Plug the unit into an electrical outlet. The power light will come on, indicating the SpotBot is ready to use.
Place the unit directly over the stain. Line up the stain with the center of the cleaning brushes.
Select the cleaning cycle you wish to use. Choose between "Surface Stain," "Set-In Stain" and "Manual/Hose." The SpotBot will begin spraying, brushing
and suctioning the stained carpet area.
Wait for the unit to beep, indicating the cycle is complete. Press the "Stop" button; the unit will continue to beep until you do.
Lift the SpotBot and check to make sure the stain has been successfully removed. Deep stains may require a second cleaning. If so, repeat Steps 1 through 3.
Prepare the tank as instructed earlier, then plug the unit into the wall. Press the release button on the front of the unit and remove the hose from the SpotBot. Attach the included Tough Stain Brush to the end of the hose.
Press the "Hose" button on the control panel. Hold the Tough Stain Brush less than six inches above the stain. Spray the area with cleaning solution by pressing the spray trigger for five to six seconds.
Use the Tough Stain Brush and gently scrub the stain for 30 seconds. Repeat this process for hard to remove stains.
Place the suction nozzle over the freshly cleaned area. Apply gentle downward pressure and pull the suction nozzle towards you to suction up the dirty solution. Repeat this process until all the dirt and excess cleaning solution is removed from the area.
Run the nozzle over the area once more to aid in the drying process.
