How to Assemble a Hoover WindTunnel U5395-900

Remove all the parts from the box and verify that the handle, cleaner body, hose, cleaning tools, wands and bolts and nuts are all present.

Take the bag door off of the cleaner by pressing down on the top of the door and pulling out. The switch located above the bag door should be set to "Off."

Slide the handle into the top of the cleaner body and insert the bolts into the rear of the handle. Place the nuts on the other side of the bolts on the recessed areas of the handle front. Hold each nut in place with one hand while tightening clockwise with a Phillips screwdriver.

Set the bottom bag door tabs onto the bottom of the door and press the top of the door in to close.

Set the cord on the back of the cleaner and press the cord into the clip on the rear of the cleaner body.

Set the end of the hose over the slots in the dirt duct on the back of the cleaner body. Slide the hose in and twist slightly to lock it into position.

Lift the hose tube cover on the right side of the cleaner body. Position the hose over the hose hook and push it into the hose tube.

Set the smaller end of the wand without ridges into the bottom of the rack and snap it into the clip. Repeat with the other wand and then place the dusting brush, furniture nozzle and crevice tool into the back of the cleaner body. Push each piece into position to secure.
