How to Replace an Internal Hose in a Dyson Animal DC07

The DC07 Animal is one of the numerous upright vacuum cleaners from Dyson. As with all Dyson vacuums, the DC07 is designed to pick up dirt and debris using suction. If you happen to experience a noticeable drop in suction, you may have a torn or damaged internal hose. This hose is found underneath the machine and will need to be replaced for optimal performance. Fortunately, Dyson vacuums are maintenance-friendly and many parts, including the internal hose, can be serviced at home.

Grasp the cuff-free end of the internal hose. Gently twist the hose until you gave detached it from the bottom vacuum sleeve.

    • 5

Place the cuff-free end of the new hose onto the sleeve of the vacuum head. Carefully twist the hose until it is securely fitted onto the sleeve.

    • 6

Place the rubber cuff onto the upper vacuum sleeve. Push firmly until the cuff clicks onto the sleeve. Turn the vacuum cleaner upright.
