How to Attach the Hoover Steamvac Hand-Held Attachment

Tool Attachment

  Raise the Hoover Steamvac handle to its upright position. Detach the end of the cleaning hose from the vacuum.

  Slide the hand-held attachment onto the tip of the cleaning hose so that the hose "tab" locks into place.

  Turn the Hoover Steamvac carpet cleaner on.

  Squeeze the trigger beneath the hand-held attachment to check that cleaning solution is flowing to the attachment. If it is not, place the end of the attachment flat against your hand or other surface. Hold it there for up to 15 seconds to prime the pump.

Tool Detachment

  Turn the Hoover Steamvac carpet cleaner on. Hold the cleaning hose upright to drain solution from the hose. During this process, do not press the cleaning trigger.

  Turn the Hoover Steamvac off and unplug the machine from the power outlet.

  Push the latch at the rear of the tool forward with your thumb to detach the tool from the hose.
