How to Keep Your Diswasher From Leaving Spots

Dishwashers are supposed to lighten the load associated with working in the kitchen. If your dishwasher leaves spots on your dishes, however, you may have the extra task of washing them by hand. The spots and cloudy residue that dishwashers often leave behind stem from a reaction between calcium and magnesium in the water and the chemicals found in dishwashing detergents. You can prevent spots on your dishes and glassware by adding a gentle, inexpensive product to your dishwashing cycle.
