How to Remove Rust From a Stainless Steel Sink With Apple Cider Vinegar

Keep your stainless steel sink and other stainless steel appliances looking like new by removing rust stains with apple cider vinegar. Rather than using chemical cleaners on rusty sinks and appliances, which means you will be breathing in toxic fumes as well as dumping the chemicals down your drain, apple cider vinegar is a safe and effective natural cleaner with many other uses, both cleaning and otherwise.

      Pour 1/2 cup or more of undiluted apple cider vinegar into a clean bowl.

      Dip a clean cloth into the bowl to saturate it with the vinegar.

      Wipe all affected areas of your sink with the apple cider vinegar-soaked cloth. Continue to wipe all areas with the cloth until sink is free of rust. Replace used cloth with clean cloth if necessary depending on the severity of the rust stains.

      Soak a clean cloth in water and wipe down your sink once all rust is removed.
