How to Fix a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner That Is Not Sucking Up Dirt

A Kirby vacuum cleaner that powers on but doesn't pick up dirt isn't necessarily broken. Chances are, the disposable vacuum cleaner bag inside the Kirby appliance is filled to capacity. Dirt, dust and other bits of detritus that get sucked into the vacuum's disposable bag will eventually fill the bag. At that point you'll have to throw out the bag and install a new one to restore the machine's use. Alternatively, the cleaner's brush roll may be clogged with buildup, which requires manually removing clogs to restore the vacuum's suction capabilities.
