How to Care for Oil-Rubbed Faucets

An oil-rubbed faucet adds personality to your kitchen or bathroom sink with its smooth, matte finish, and requires careful cleaning to maintain the faucet's finish. While common household cleaners are safe for other types of faucets, the oil-rubbed faucet's finish can easily be damaged with an abrasive cleaning product. A nonabrasive wax is a suitable cleaning product, as the wax maintains the faucet's surface and safely removes water and oil spots.
