- Distilled white vinegar

Mix 1 cup of distilled white vinegar with 1 cup of warm water.

Unplug the appliance you want to clean first, if possible. Moisten a sponge with the mixture and scrub the appliance's exterior surfaces.

Allow the cleaning mixture to rest on the appliances for 15 minutes after application, then rinse the appliances with a clean sponge dampened with clean water.

Pour distilled white vinegar or household ammonia into small bowls and set them around your appliances. This should take care of any odors lingering in the air around the appliances.
